Interest-Free Loans for Charitable Organizations


The Boston Free Loan Society* is offering  zero-interest loans to 501(c)(3) charitable organizations, who offer assistance to  people  in critical financial distress, including individuals and families impacted by the
COVID-19 epidemic.  Potentially qualifying 501(c)(3) organizations include:  social service agencies, other interest-free loan programs, places of worship, and other public-charity community organizations.


Charitable Organization Loan Program


1) Available to 501(c)(3) charitable organizations, who provide assistance to people in critical  financial distress; enabling them  to become or remain self-supporting.

2) There are no fees or interest charges.


3) Minimum loan is $5,000. Maximum loan is $20,000.


4) Loan term is 5 years, with mutually agreed upon repayment schedule.  Loan is potentially renewable.


5) Loan funds must be used for IRS qualified charitable purposes within 12 months of loan origination.

6) "Related” organizations, as defined by the IRS, are excluded from receiving these  loans, including any organization that have any Board members or officers that are also on the Board, or officers of, or contributors to  Boston Free Loan Society (FFFLF*).
