Boston Free Loan Society
Our interest-free loans are an alternative or supplement to appealing to friends, family, and government emergency “safety-net” programs.
We directly originate and administer loans.
To apply, please complete and return the Loan Application and Guarantor form.
We also make loans through other 501(c)(3) charitable organizations, who directly identify loan candidates, screen applications, and originate, disburse, and administer the loans, with repayments returning to the Fund. We welcome inquiries from: places of worship, social service agencies, other interest-free loan programs, and other charitable community organizations. Charitable Organization Loan Program details.
The loan fund has a fixed initial endowment. The borrower should consider that by repaying their loan they are making a direct personal contribution to the welfare of their neighbors.
